We made it!

We made it to Germany! We actually gt in on Wednesday but I haven't felt like sitting down to write this post until now. Partly because I am lazy and partly because I am still getting used to this damn German keyboard!

We were absolutely exhausted by the time we got here. Just getting to Washington DC exhausted us so much that we didn't do the sightseeing we had planned. Instead, we ate our pizza (gf for me) and went to the hotel where we collapsed and literally slept for 12 hours. The next day we ended up sitting at Dulles airport for 6 hours because we had to check out and get the hotel shuttle. Our flight from Dulles was late getting in to Copenhagen, so we missed our flight to Hannover. Of course, there were no more flights direct to Hannover, so they had to fly us to Frankfurt and then to Hannover. We finally made it to Hannover, 6 hours after we were supposed to be there.

I am having an easy time finding some GF foods and a hard time finding some others. I can't find GF oatmeal to save my life, so I have been eating gf Müsli. We found some gf polenta online, so hopefully that will be here tomorrow. Meat is naturally GF here, because they are not allowed to inject it with anything. Things that might be questionable, like lunch meat, have a GF symbol on the shelf tag. How cool is that!?

I am going to upload pictures to Flickr or some other photo sharing site. I have been putting some on Facebook but that is frustrating when you have so many. Once I get them up I will let you know.
